Velcro on underground tabi (traditional Japanese footwear).
If it's a hook-and-loop type of underground tabi, it can be put on and taken off in 3 seconds! Introducing Arako Column vol. 10.
In my hometown of Hamamatsu City, there is an event called the Hamamatsu Festival held every year. Because of this, people from Hamamatsu have the opportunity to wear tabi (traditional split-toe socks) from a relatively young age. The fasteners on the tabi use Velcro, but at some point, my classmates started teasing me, saying, "You're still using Velcro?" Unbeknownst to me, the image of Velcro being something for children had been ingrained in me, and I became embarrassed and asked to be bought adult-sized tabi. *For more details on the column, you can view it through the related links.
